Bren­da, a Texas horse woman with a flair for adven­ture, gave up her horse ranch in Gon­za­les to accept God’s divine chal­lenge for her life: “To com­bine her ranch­ing, nurs­ing, and abil­i­ty to rough it into a unique res­cue pro­gram for orphans in remote parts of Africa.”

Dur­ing her 29 years of min­istry in Mozam­bique, Bren­da, founder and CEO of Orphans Unlim­it­ed, has built and man­aged two orphan­ages, 32 church­es, a med­ical clin­ic, and a feed­ing cen­ter to stop mal­nu­tri­tion in babies.  A job skills train­ing pro­gram for orphans and wid­ows will con­tin­ue in 2020.

Bren­da’s desire is to bring God’s love, hope, and a future to these chil­dren who were “left behind” after 17 years of civ­il war.  The Min­is­ter of Social Ser­vices pro­claimed that her pro­gram is “a mod­el that oth­er orga­ni­za­tions should copy.”
