ZITO SURGERY UPDATE

Two dif­fer­ent Drs. con­sult­ed over Zito’s sit­u­a­tion yes­ter­day after­noon and agreed surgery is need­ed to locate and clear up his hip infec­tion. He meets with anes­the­sia today and will have his surgery on Fri­day, August 2nd.  Remem­ber, we are 7 hours ahead of you in the US, so please remem­ber him in your prayers this evening and through the night for you night owls. The orthopaedic sur­geon told us that if all goes well and the infec­tion is elim­i­nat­ed,  HE SAYS IT IS POSSIBLE TO STRAIGHTEN HIS DEFORMED FEMUR so he can walk easier. 

A few pho­tos of Zito through the years since Bren­da first met him in June 2012.ZITO’S STORY When he was a first grad­er, a big­ger boy kicked him in his upper leg while play­ing soc­cer. His femur broke and was not set well, thus it healed at a sharp angle. He has been too weak phys­i­cal­ly until this time to even attempt surgery. PRAY that he does well with anes­the­sia, for how he does deter­mines if fur­ther surgery is even a pos­si­bil­i­ty. His infec­tion must also com­plete­ly clear in next 2 months before any fur­ther surgery can be considered.
