JUMAIDA IS HOME! Our Balama Nutritionalist called me 8 a.m. Saturday, April 13th, bringing music to my ears! He told me to come get Jumaida, as she was ready to go home. The appetite enhancer worked, and she is eating, PTL! Her fever is gone, she is playing, and looking good. Her weight is her biggest problem. At 9 months old, she only weighs 5.9kg/13 lbs. She should weigh at least 9 kg/20 lbs.! She is a good 4kg/9 lbs. UNDERWEIGHT. The appetite enhancer will continue, and we pray she will now gain her strength and rapidly increase her immunity. |
Ah! No place like home. Jumaida taking a nap after her long hospital ordeal. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR PRAYERS FOR JUMAIDA. We seriously thought we might lose her at one point, but God is a miracle working God, and He turned the bad into good! PTL! |
A TRIBUTE TO MY DAD My Dad is a BIG REASON that I have the practical skills needed to build an entire orphanage and feeding program for the Lord in Mozambique. I was a Daddy’s girl from the time I could walk. A horse crazy girl all through college, and the oldest of 3 children, I bugged my Dad until he agreed to teach me all he knew about ranching. He came from a dairy farm/rodeo family, so knew many practical skills I would later need to build an orphanage/food distribution program from the ground up: truck and car maintenance and basic repairs, as well as barn-building, roofing, concrete mixing and pouring, basic electricity, animal husbandry and training, just to name a few. All these skills and many, many more were taught to an eager tomboy, who loved her Daddy very, very much. The rest I learned at Bible/Missions School, Texas A&M University #tamu (Agriculture of course @aglifesciences), and Nursing School. |

My Dad joined Jesus and my Mom in heaven this last week, as he neared his 94th birthday. I couldn’t be happier for him, for he now has a new body which he truly needed. We had talked daily, thanks to modern technology, since 2013. Thanks to several dear friends, my Dad accepted Jesus as his savior and came to realize that Jesus had planted me in Mozambique to care for these babies until His return. Technology also allowed me to be at his funeral even though I couldn’t be there physically. Dad was OK with that, knowing that our 24 babies needed me here. God called me from the womb, setting into motion all the training I would need in order to rescue many of His little ones. Never doubt that you have no use for something shown to you as a child. God can stretch you, mold you, and make you into HIS WARRIOR if you are WILLING AND OBEDIENT to follow Him where ever He needs you to go. GOD’S BLESSINGS TO ALL OF YOU FOR BEING A PART OF THIS AMAZING RESCUE OPERATION. BUSH BUNNY BRENDA LANGE AND THE BALAMA STAFF |
