JUMAIDA HOME AFTER BOUT WITH PNEUMONIA! Jumaida is finally home after developing pneumonia with a severe cough over last weekend. Her last blood tests shows her Hemoglobin is up to 11, which means her body is making red blood cells, PTL! Her weight is down to 6.3kg/14 lbs. and she is now 2 years and 9 months old. Yes, she is skeleton skinny, but playing in bed. We will support her with all the love, food, and vitamins/eggs she needs to regain her weight. Due to her weight loss, we had to scramble on Friday to get her some new clothes, but thankfully, we had some in stock.

Home means her intensive care must continue to get her back to the best weight she can achieve. Jumaida is our most critical child at the moment, so we have placed her in isolation from the other 2 year olds in her house. Her immunity is fragile, but will improve as she gains weight. THANKS FOR ALL YOUR PRAYERS, BUT JUMAIDA STILL NEEDS ALL THE SPIRITUAL SUPPORT WE CAN GIVE HER AND HER FOSTER MOTHER, MARIOSO! Seventeen days in the hospital, with 3 different medical problems, yet she beat them all.My hat is off to this little one, for she is truly a tough little tyke! RAIN, RAIN, AND MORE RAIN! IS THIS REALLY MARCH? This week was a real challenge, as all regular outdoor programs from the BBC evangelical teams to the daily Bawana games and the Little Disciples pre-school aged children’s programs had to be CANCELED DUE TO RAIN/MUD. Saturday is the awesome CIS PARTY LUNCH for all the children. We are doing our best to coordinate the transport of all the children and the food so that this event can happen. With some parts of our dirt road in 15cm/6 inches of mud, it will be a challenge, but PTL for 4 wheel drive!

Normally, March has some rain, but not DAILY RAINS, as we have experienced this week. It is supposed to continue next week as well. Ugh. So our prayer is for the rains to SLOW DOWN, giving the crops a chance to dry out, before they rot! Please join us in praying for DRY WEATHER, so the harvest will be great! BLESSINGS, BUSH BUNNY BRENDA LANGE AND THE BALAMA STAFF
