A BREAK IN THE ACTION Hey Everyone:I am in RSA (South Africa) this week. It’s what I call a short action packed “break” from my Mozambique duties. Even though I will be super busy shopping for the children and myself, know that I will visit friends in the evenings, and grab an ice cream or 2! I decided since I was away from home, I’d like to share a bit about our guard dogs. In Mozambique, dogs are the alarm system and a great protection. I live on 40 acres on the outskirts of Balama town. Dogs assist my 4‑night guards because they alert them at the slightest strange noise or moving object. Most thieves around here are afraid of meeting a dog, especially at night. MAX, a Rhodesian Ridgeback, is on guard duty with 2 of my guards each night. Two other dogs are in a yard that borders our mission road. They only bark when someone they don’t know approaches. |

BEAR, a German Shepherd/Labrador cross is my personal guard dog. He stays on my screened-in porch each night to alert me and the guards if anyone tries to approach my home. He is so protective that unless I lock him outside in his pen, only 3 of my staff can enter my house. NO ONE messes with BEAR! Even though this trip was necessary for needed supplies and my first since April 2024, I will be glad to get home to my Protection Team!! Thanks for being a friend to me, and the BIG FAMILY given to me by Jesus! Blessings, Bush Bunny Brenda Lange And the Balama Staff |
