BUSH BIKERS FOR CHRIST (BBC) DOUBLES IN SIZE TO REACH 1000’S MORE WITH THE GOSPEL The new 8 man, 4 motor­bike BBC team now con­sists of 2 teams of 4 men each. The 2 teams took off into the remote areas of Bala­ma this week, vis­it­ing 10 addi­tion­al vil­lages (20 vil­lages in all). The sea­soned Youth Evan­ge­lists, Car­l­i­tos and Daniel, are the 2 team leaders.

It was a great sur­prise to these 10 new remote vil­lages to see this impres­sive team of men ride in on their motor­bikes with games and Bible lessons for the chil­dren. KEEP THEM IN PRAYER, as some of the vil­lages are “hard ground”. The way to the people’s hearts is for the chil­dren to tell the Bible sto­ries they learn to their fam­i­ly, thus bring­ing Jesus into their mud huts.

SCRUMPTIOUS GOODIES FOR OUR CHILDREN May 4th found our chil­dren enjoy­ing anoth­er tasty, high pro­tein meal from the CIS com­pa­ny that works near Bala­ma. Chick­en drum­sticks, beef slices, rice with a tasty sauce, chips (French Fries), cab­bage sal­ad with a BIG APPLE for dessert was the cui­sine this day. It was enjoyed by all, with the apples being a fun chal­lenge for our tod­dlers, as you can see in one of the photos.

MOTHER’S TRAINING SEMINAR Once a year, the state lev­el Social Ser­vices Depart­ment in Pem­ba sends out 2 men to update the train­ing of our moth­ers in child care. This 4 day sem­i­nar includ­ed both class­room and prac­ti­cal house­hold appli­ca­tion (house vis­its to observe the mother’s at work cook­ing the meals and car­ing for the children).

Each house was giv­en a thor­ough vis­it, with the instruc­tors tast­ing the lunch­es pre­pared at each house. They deemed the food deli­cious at each home, as our moth­ers are very good cooks.
