| POLIO VACCINES FOR THE LITTLE ONES A team from the Balama Hospital blessed us by vaccinating all of our children who are 5 years and under with the oral polio vaccine. The children received it well, as it was like getting 2 drops of water into your mouth. We are grateful that this vaccine is available, and that the hospital made our children a priority to receive it. |

KITCHEN RING BEAM A BIG CHALLENGE It’s a challenge to build a framework for the ring beam over an 8 foot/2.5 meter open space at our new kitchen. The cooking area is an open area (no door) that requires extra care. Our team is used to building over 3 foot/1 meter windows and doors, but an 8 foot space is extra tricky. |

| It requires extra reinforcing so that the weight of the cement and rocks that make up the ring beam do not cause it to fall. Our team did a great job of getting it set up on Thursday. Now we wait a week for it to dry hard so it can handle the weight of the last few rows of bricks. |

| Everything we do is done by hand. No pre-fab framework, just nails and wood framing. I am grateful for such a skilled group of workmen. MOVING BEANS TO KEEP THEM FRESHER Our team did a great job of moving 300 sacks of beans in the sunrise hour before the heat hit. Remember, each sack weighs 132 lbs./60 kg. It takes a whole team of men to do this quickly. |
![]() Job well done. Beans will stay cooler when closer to the floor. |
| This is necessary to prevent our current 95 F/35 C heat from destroying the top 3 rows of beans. By moving them down to the now empty part of the room, it keeps them cooler and provides better ventilation over all the beans. THANKS TO ALL OF YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUED PRAYERS FOR ALL OF US.
