BABY XICA NEEDS A JESUS HEALING Tiny Xica (shee-kah), lost her moth­er in Sep­tem­ber. She has been in our infant milk pro­gram since then, and was slow­ly gain­ing weight. Thurs­day, Dec. 18th, she pre­sent­ed with severe diar­rhea, upper res­pi­ra­to­ry infec­tion, and Thrush in her mouth. She had lost 650 gms (lit­tle over a pound) in the last 7 days, which is real­ly bad. Her Granny has been car­ing for her but she seemed over­whelmed and unaware of how ill the baby is.  With Granny’s per­mis­sion, my staff and I rushed Xica to the hos­pi­tal. The Emer­gency Room Staff imme­di­ate­ly orga­nized an IV, as Xica’s elec­trolytes were low, and she was severe­ly dehy­drat­ed due to the diar­rhea. Her malar­ia test was neg­a­tive, PTL, but due to her tiny mal­nour­ished con­di­tion, she was imme­di­ate­ly admit­ted to the pedi­atric ward.   XICA NEEDS OUR PRAYERS, as her con­di­tion is seri­ous. On Fri­day, 19th, Xica’s health sta­tus had not changed. The diar­rhea must stop, as it is drain­ing her lit­tle body of all the nutri­ents she so bad­ly needs to sur­vive. Thank you for includ­ing Xica in your dai­ly prayers for heal­ing. Once she is healed, she will join our fam­i­ly of 34 lit­tle ones.

YOUR LOVE GIFTS BRING HOPE TO 3 ORPHANS The moth­er of the 2 boys in the pho­to died in 2023, so they went to live with an Aunt who had a lit­tle girl. Sad­ly, the guardian Aunt died last week, leav­ing the 2 boys and the lit­tle girl with the only oth­er Aunt in the fam­i­ly. This Aunt could not han­dle feed­ing 3 grow­ing chil­dren, so she went to Social Ser­vices in Bala­ma for assis­tance. When they arrived at our mis­sion, only the lit­tle girl had a birth cer­tifi­cate. Our staff informed the Aunt we would help her obtain birth cer­tifi­cates on the 2 boys if she could find the required fam­i­ly mem­bers to tes­ti­fy to their birth. With­out birth cer­tifi­cates, these boys can­not go to school, or even get a prop­er pho­to ID when they are old­er. Because of an intel­li­gent Aunt who reached out for help, these 3 chil­dren have a chance at LIFE as well as an edu­ca­tion and a future. Our food pro­gram will take the strain off the Aunt, so she can con­cen­trate on help­ing the chil­dren grow up in a good way. YOUR LOVE GIFTS MAKE A DIFFERENCE ALL YEAR ROUND!

CHRISTMAS PARTY FOR OUR KIDS The CIS Com­pa­ny will bless our chil­dren with a fab­u­lous Christ­mas Par­ty on Decem­ber 20th!Just want­ed you to know that YOUR GIFTS to the chil­dren will be giv­en out to each house next week on the 25th. Food and fun are what’s planned on the 25th (if the rains hold off). Will tell you all about it in the next blog.
