WHAT CAME IN, NOW GOING OUT
Older sister, an orphan herself, is caring for her four siblings in the Kwe Kwe area. August is always the first food distributions to the orphans living in a remote villages with their Grandmother or Aunt in Balama District. Aunts and Grannies getting their 4kg (8.8 lbs.) of beans/child for the month. (Tiuane area) Since Tuesday (8–8‑17), our trucks have been rolling hard to the far ends of Balama District (county) distributing food to 989 village orphans and the 502 widows in 4 days. It’s a tough job, but our staff enjoy seeing how much the children have grown since last year. Pastor Gito, handing out soap and salt in his Pastoral area of Impire. Pastor Gito serves 4 remote villages with The Word of God each week. The children are all doing well and most enjoy the BAWANA games brought to them by the Pastor living in their area. Staff member carries the 60 kg (132 lb.) bag of corn out of the distribution area for this young Aunt who cares for 3 orphans plus her own baby. Our staff’s motto is: Serving spiritual food along with physical food, makes for a well balanced diet, giving every child a chance at life here and in the hereafter.
