PROVENTIAL GOVERNMENT SURPRISES OUR CHILDREN
On Friday, Capena received a call saying multiple government officials from the Health and Social Services Depts. wanted to visit our children. They did not reveal their real objective until they arrived for they wanted to surprise the children with 2 large gift boxes of clothing. (Foreground) Senhora Deolinda, Provencial Chief of Department for Social Services distributes clothing to the children along with Balama’s Education Planner and Director of Health. The photos reveal the excitement each child felt as they received a beautiful piece of clothing. OUR SINCEREST THANKS TO THE PROVENTIAL (STATE) DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH IN COORDINATION WITH THE PROVENTIAL DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES FOR BLESSING OUR CHILDREN WITH SUCH A WONDERFUL GIFT! Permanent Secretary Senhor Alfonzo,(2nd in charge of Balama District) makes sure little Monica gets the dress her heart desires. Please realize that this group of 4 people left Pemba early Friday morning, drove 8 hours round trip in order to bring this surprise to our children. Director of Health, Senhor Assane (left to right), Senhora Deolinda, and Senhor Murotha of the Provencial Health Dept. worked hard to make sure every child had the clothing of their choice. OUR ORGANIZATION RANKED #2 IN THIS STATE FOR HELPING SOCIAL SERVICES! Last week in a joint 2 day (state wide) conference for Health and Social Services groups, Capena was extremely honored when our program was announced as #2 IN THE STATE for being a “MOST HELPFUL ORGANIZATION IN SUPPORT OF SOCIAL SERVICES”. (#1 was UNICEF) I am extremely honored by this recognition of our endeavors to rescue and educate “children in difficult situations”. ALL OF OUR PARTNERS SHARE IN THIS RECOGNITION for it would not have been possible without your prayers and love gifts. THE WHEELS KEEPS TURNING AS FOOD DISTRIBUTIONS BEGIN In 5 distributions over 4 days this week we will deliver more than 34 TONS of corn and beans to over 1,800 orphans and widows in remote villages of Balama. Keep us in your prayers for “what came in, must now go out” to help those in need. Blessings, BUSH BUNNY BRENDA LANGE AND THE AMAZING BALAMA STAFF |
