NO AMPUTATION NEEDED, PTL!!!TWO Doctors in Pemba viewed Zito’s 8 different x‑rays and determined that the bone was NOT INFECTED, NOR WAS THE BONE MARROW DRIED UP! Seems that “artifact” made one of the x‑rays look a bit weird, and thus the bad diagnosis. (PHEW! Relief!) ZITO DID HAVE to have his 2 large hip abscesses drained that were located near the top of his left femur bone in his hip.ZITO IS NOW HOME WITH US, and will stay in Balama for 10 days of very powerful antibiotic treatments and regular dressing changes for his abscesses. We made arrangement for transport to his village for his final exams which start tomorrow. He is a very smart student and very eager to get those exams out of the way. A BIT OF HISTORY:Zito has just turned 16 but attends the 5thgrade. His femur fracture delayed him starting school and he has been held back twice because of serious septic infections that caused him to have to drop out of school. He was very frustrated at being sent to Pemba for he thought he would miss his exams AGAIN and not be able to pass to 6th grade. Thus, our team is going the EXTRA MILE (literally) to make sure that he gets to take those exams this week and still get his medical treatments. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS, FOR THE LORD ANSWERED THEM, AND GAVE ZITO THE PROPER TREATMENT HE NEEDED. (Best of all, He prevented a non-revocable procedure).MORE FROM THE BUSH BUNNY THIS WEEKEND.BLESSINGS, BUSH BUNNY BRENDA |
