| WATER IS A PRECIOUS GIFT Our mission’s water well next to our church is a busy site each day as many of the local hand dug wells have dried up. This is the DRY SEASON for our area, meaning no rains will fall until probably December. That will refill all the local wells, and make water more accessible to most of the locals who now use our well. All of you are to be thanked for making this water well possible over 10 years ago. It is 35 meters/105 feet deep and was drilled into a large, underground reservoir of water. For this, we are most grateful, as water means life and health to all those who use the well. The photos show the continuous flow of local people who are coming to pump today. |

Many people world-wide take water for granted, but in our area, we value this precious, life-saving resource. THANK YOU FOR MAKING IT POSSIBLE TO SAVE LIVES through clean water. |

| ERGILCIA IN HOSPITAL WITH UNKNOWN STOMACH PROBLEMS The photo of Ergilcia in last week’s blog was taken 1 day before her stomach problems began. Her vomiting was under control on Sunday with an oral medicine, but on Monday, she was not tolerating liquids or food. I took her to the hospital for analysis, but her malaria test came back negative. She was dehydrated, so IV fluids and medications were begun, but the staff was stumped. She was taking fluids Monday morning, but refusing Hypo baby cereal. I told them to liquify the hypo and put it in her milk. Ergilcia was released on Thursday with a sore throat, but feeling better. She has a few sores in her mouth and throat, and is on medication and baby vitamins for that. I am just glad she is now home, and doing better. Her sickness was never diagnosed, so all we can do is treat her symptoms. Prayers for her continued healing are appreciated. JORGE HOME AFTER 7 DAYS OF MALARIA TREATMENT Jorge had a rough start to his malaria treatment, but, after 48 hours, was back to his normal self. His lab tests showed he had a very powerful case, so he was held in hospital for 8 days to complete the 7 days of IV anti-malaria treatment. He is also a happy camper to be back at home with his “brothers and sisters” where he can roll the ball and play with his siblings.
