BEAN BUYING BUSH BUNNY OVERWHELMED WITH BUNDLES OF BEANS!
On Monday, thanks to your prayers, we were literally over run with bicycles, trucks, and people carrying bags of beans to the scales at our 2 food weighing locations.
In Balama, my bean team weighed 175 bags (much of it one bag at a time) in 7 hours, totalling 10.5 TONS of beans.
Capena’s team at our Mavala (Mango Tree Church) staion, weighed 222 bags (13.3 tons) and had to finally STOP in order to get home before dark! They brought in the final 6.7 tons yesterday.
Needless to say, your bean prayers were answered in abundance, as we finalized the bean buying yesterday.
Our barn is now OVERFLOWING with 95 TONS of beans. We literally have it stacked to the door with no placed for more.
Thanks so much for your help in praying it in. Next time, I’ll ask that it come in over 2 days and not all in one! J
Our goal was 90 tons, but God has proved abundantly more, and I think we are about to find out why.
On Monday, Social Services of Meluco county radioed us, requested our help. A village in the northern part of Meluco county (where our 2nd orphanage is located), is reported to have over 200 kids suffering from severe malnutrition, reason unknown.
A team of investigators from the health department and social services along with our Meluco orphanage manager will visit this village TODAY to see for themselves what needs to be done to save these children.
I’ll keep you posted once I get the details of their investigation.
UPDATE ON ERIC’S KNEE
Eric is awaiting a 2nd medical consult, before a final decision is made on what course of treatment is the best to remedy his situation. Will keep you posted. Keep the prayers coming, as we need God to show us HIS solution.
Blessings, BBB
