HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR TWINS! Crecencia (girl) and Crecencio (boy) turned 2 years old on January 11! They are so very happy living with us, for they were shuffled to 3 different substitute mothers in the village before coming to live with our happy family. Their picture here says it all, as they are now healthy, STRONG, and growing fast. We are so, so proud of their progress, as it was hard-going with the little boy, Crecencio. He had multiple setbacks and was very small compared to his sister when they came to live with us. He was too weak to walk, and had multiple diseases that needed hospitalization to eradicate. Now he runs like the wind, and plays for hours to his heart’s delight. I even caught him DANCING with 2 of the other toddlers this week. Sorry, no video, as I was too far away to capture their joyful fun! Life and death are in the power of our words, and we spoke nothing but LIFE to Crecencio’s little body for months! Thank you for your prayers, for God heard and answered them by giving us these 2 super healthy little ones. TODDLER HOUSE CONSTRUCTION SHOULD BE COMPLETED NEXT WEEK I was beginning to think we would never get this home finished, as the 2 weeks of painting delays forced all 3 of the construction teams to have a delay in finishing their final work. But our painter finally finished his job this week with the help of 3 of our staff. Manuel, Mario, and Carlitos all chipped in to speed up the outdoor painting needs at the 4 bathrooms, plus the eating and play areas. The bathroom toilets are now in, and the electric lights are installed in the bedroom. Finishing touches on three toilets. Balama staff help complete the bathroom painting. Bedroom lights are now connected! Carpenters installing window shutters. All that is left is mounting the 8 doors — 3 external and 2 interior doors, plus 3 screen doors to keep the bugs out. Hoping for a quick inspection so we can open the home as soon as possible. OUR FUNNY PHOTO THIS WEEK features 3‑year-old Julho trying to figure out which foot these shoes go on. Background shows many of our toddlers playing in our largest sandbox. Julho trying to figure out his shoes. With 29 little ones from 8 weeks to 3 years, none of us suffer from dull moments, and totally enjoy the peace and quiet when they are all asleep! BLESSINGS AND HUGS TO ALL OF YOU!
