BAWANA GAMES REMATCH ATTRACTS LARGE CROWD
Catholic Sister Ligua (Lee-sha) and her Youth Team have been practicing their BAWANA GAMES, and demanded a rematch. These excited youngsters brought their friends, making for a BIG CROWD!
Opening ceremony. Our team on left. Catholic team on right.
About half of the 120 that showed up had never played before, so after the big competition we went “back to basics”, letting the new kids give it a try! They found out that balancing a bean bag on your head isn’t so easy while running full speed around a circle!
And the race is on!
As a child, I remember what it felt like to be “left out” just because I wasn’t “on a team”. My goal with BAWANA GAMES is for EVERY CHILD to get in on the fun!
Tug-o-war finale for young teens.
Afterwards, a group of our children presented a cute Bible Drama that taught the children how to pray for each other when sick. A FUN DAY WITH JESUS ATl ITS HEART!
(After devotions, our kids challenged their “guests” to Super Slide Races. Of course the girls won because their cotton skirts slide faster than blue jeans.)
JULY CORN ROLLING IN!
SUPER DRY JULY CORN grown by 17 Pastors began rolling in Wed. from the west side of Balama District. Once again our Pastors living in remote areas with rough roads not fit for our long bed trucks, found their own transport. Those Pastors were asked to bring in their corn ahead of time to be weighed and prepared for processing on July 9th.
The corn is rolling in!
We now have 1,250 of the needed 2,500 sacks in our barn. Makes life a bit easier for our staff this way. This coming week, THANKS TO OUR FOOD DONORS, we will once again be “up to our ears in corn” so that orphans will not go hungry.
Keep those prayers coming, as we hope to finish this program in 4 days if possible. That will leave only the RICE to fetch later this month, leaving our barns full to the brim!
HOPE ALL OUR USA PARTNERS HAD A FAMILY FILLED FOURTH OF JULY! A BELATED HAPPY BIRTHDAY USA!
