CHEBANY (#2) HOME FROM HOSPITAL Chebany (#2) will be 1 year old on October 7, 2024. There is no better way to celebrate than to have your health back, and move into a loving home with his newfound “Mom”, Foster Mother Estefania. He is smiling, gaining weight, and eating almost every 2 to 3 hours. Looks to me like his body wants to regain his intended weight for a 1‑year-old in just a few months! For those who don’t know, we have a preschooler by the same name. Thus, the clarification with the name Chebany (#2). |

HELPING OUT THE WIDOWS IN OUR REMOTE CHURCHES A New Jersey Church gave us a very generous gift that is a double blessing. To assist the village men to learn better construction.Benefit the widows in the church by making them the beneficiary of the construction-trainees’ new skills. This program was begun in August under the leadership of those in the church who are very good at teaching construction to others. The first widow home is now completed by several men who go to our Impire Village church. |

This widow with her children were in need of a new grass roof as the old grass roof was rotten. The men learned by doing and the widow with children benefitted. That’s what I call a WIN/WIN situation! |

BUSH BUNNY ON THE HOP! It was time to renew my passport, so I did just that a few weeks ago. My new passport is now ready and waiting for me to pick it up at the U.S. Embassy in Maputo. I will leave next week for a 3‑day “quick trip” to fetch it. Capena and our wonderful staff will continue looking after the children and infants in my absence. You will receive a blog with updates next week if all goes according to plan. BLESSINGS, BUSH BUNNY BRENDA LANGE AND THE BALAMA STAFF |
