| JOJO OUT OF HOSPITAL! JOJO, 7 months old, has now beat the malaria and the pneumonia, PTL! Thank you so much for your prayers for Jojo, as he was truly in a bad way for the first few days. Even though he is eating and drinking formula well, he still lost weight while in hospital. He’s down from 5.45kg/12 lbs. the day he entered the hospital to 4.75kg/10,5 lbs. as of his dismissal on Friday at noon. Good care in the Leopard House (#7 for critical babies) will have that weight put back on him in a few weeks. He was asleep during his dismissal, so the look on his face was one of pure shock when he woke up as I took his photo. I’m sure his little mind was saying, “Where am I”? |
| On a side note, baby Dino is still doing well without supplemental oxygen. His weight gain is slow, but that is normal for children with his type of heart problem. The amazing thing is that he is doing well WITHOUT Oxygen! The medical staff are amazed! RICE IS IN THE BARN After a lot of early hours (4:30 a.m. start time), and much hard work by our team of men, the 3,000 bags of rice have filled our barn to capacity. (Proves an Aggie can count after all!) Some thought that 3,000 was too much for the space we had, but it all fit!Taken with the help of my headlights, the photo shows what 1000 bags looks like at 4:30 a.m. The men made short work of weighing, sewing the bags for added strength, and stacking the rice, as we were finished in 3 hours each day. |
![]() Men having prayer, worship, and a short Bible lesson before we weigh 1,000 bags of rice. Each bag is 50kg or 110 lbs. |
| In our case, the early bird won the race! We were all able to do our regular work after getting this task out of the way for the day. MUCH THANKS FOR ALL YOUR PRAYERS AND LOVE GIFTS THAT MAKES US THE BEST REHAB CENTER FOR SICK INFANTS IN THIS PART OF OUR STATE. BOTH JOJO AND DINO ARE LIVING PROOF THAT OUR GOD IS THE ONLY TRUE HEALER! BLESSINGS, BUSH BUNNY BRENDA LANGE AND THE BALAMA STAFF |
