| ORPHAN BOY, SEMESSE, JOINS THE FAMILY Six-month-old Semesse (seh-mee-see) was brought into our milk program in a dangerous state this last Thursday by his grandmother. He was very dehydrated, lethargic, and had severe bloody diarrhea. He’s been in our milk program since March when he was orphaned, and was gaining weight slowly. However, the grandmother was a bit overwhelmed with his care last week, and used some local well water to make his bottle. This caused his diarrhea which was now in its 3rd day. It’s a miracle the infant was still alive. This type of diarrhea usually kills a small child or infant in 1 day or less. |

| With good hospital care, the diarrhea left in 24 hours thanks to strong medications and IV fluids. Semesse is now alert and eating/drinking his bottle with gusto! The hospital released him Friday into our care. It has been a busy 2 days making sure this little boy lived, and we are super glad his family agreed to let us help them until the baby is out of diapers and can eat adult food. His grandmother truly loves him and plans to visit as often as she can during the time he stays with us. |

MEGA MANGO TREE MAKES SHADE FOR OUR WHOLE FAMILY I’ve shown you our children many times under a big tree as they ate their fabulous CIS luncheon. Last Saturday, I realized I had never really shown you the magnitude of this fabulous tree. So I stepped back and took an overall photo of as much of it as my camera could encompass. |

| We estimate this super shade tree to be at least 200 years old as it would take 3 people at full stretch to put their arms around its base. It makes a great place for our family to play and have meetings. BLESSINGS TO YOU ALL, AS WE ENTER OUR HOT AND DRY SEASON. PLEASE KEEP YOUR PRAYERS COMING FOR OUR CHILDREN AND STAFF. BLESSINGS, BUSH BUNNY BRENDA LANGE AND THE BALAMA STAFF |
