PRAISE JESUS! CORN TEAM MOVED 2,300 SACKS IN 3 DAYS!!
I’ve seen men move fast before, but our 3rd day of corn buying was unbelievable. We completed our normal 600 sacks by 10 a.m., then realized only 300 sacks remained. I put it to a vote, and the men UNANIMOUSLY SAID, let’s finish it today!!!
NEVER in the history of our program have we moved 900 sacks of corn through our 2 chutes in 1 day. Each of these sacks weigh 132 lbs. (60 kg), meaning they moved 54 TONS on Wednesday!
Just goes to show what a well-trained team of 112 super strong men can do! Yes, they were tired, but with big smiles on their faces, because they set a record that most likely will never be matched.
Last of the 2,300 sacks being stacked in our corn barn.
IT IS A RELIEF TO KNOW THAT ANOTHER YEAR’S CORN IS SAFE IN OUR BARN. THANK YOU JESUS FOR FILLING OUR BARN SO THAT THE ORPHANS WE ASSIST WILL NOT GO HUNGRY THIS YEAR.
BUYING 40 TONS OF RICE is our goal this coming week. Keep us in prayer as we bring in the final large crop needed for our children.
BABY ADELINA JOINS OUR FAMILY
The very elderly Granny Guilhermina (Granny G) was not coping well as the only care taker of 6 month old Adelina. Adelina’s mother died May 20th, and her father is terminally ill in the Pemba hospital.
Baby Adelina upon admission. Her heartfelt cries would not stop.
When Granny “G” walked in with Baby Adelina on May 23rd she weighed only 3.7 kg (8 lbs). After 5 weeks in Granny’s care, this baby girl only gained 250 grams, and was now sick with a respiratory infection.
Granny G eagerly agreed to allow Social Services to place Adelina in our care, for she realized she didn’t have the energy to care for an infant.
24 hrs later she is a happy baby, even smiled at me when I visited.
Baby Adelina is in need of a sponsor. $30/month will provide all her needs. Please email me if you would like to sponsor this precious little one.
TOGETHER, WE ARE MAKING A DIFFERENCE.
