BUNNY IS BACK MINUS ONE CHOMPER!

All is well after extract­ing the bad tooth. I got there just in time, for the tooth infec­tion sur­round­ing my old crowned molar was about to eat through to my Left Sinus. Not a good thing. I had an implant post put in, so all will be back to nor­mal in a few months when I can be fit­ted with a super duper, non-break­able, car­rot chom­per! Much thanks to O.U. Board Direc­tor, Eric Dry, for pro­vid­ing all my trans­porta­tion needs dur­ing the 3 short days I was in RSA.

It’s been a short week for me in Bala­ma, for a lack of flights to Pem­ba only allowed me to fly in late Wednes­day after­noon. It was real­ly nice to get back to WARM Bala­ma! Temps in RSA were around 38ºF (5ºC) at night com­pared to Balama’s ‘balmy’ 53ºF (14ºC). Much too cold for this trop­i­cal Bunny.

All is well with the chil­dren, minus a few run­ny noses. It’s WINTER here, so some lit­tle ones are fight­ing the snif­fles from the 50ºF nights and the 70ºF days.  All our chil­dren have warm track suits, thanks to your gen­eros­i­ty.  Those sweat suits REALLY makes a dif­fer­ence in how their bod­ies han­dle the cold mornings.

HOUSE #6 AND KITCHEN IN FINISHING PHASE

While I was in RSA, con­struc­tion moved on with all the cement floors being placed into House #6 and the large Kitchen/Eating area. We lack only the 2 latrines which are being lined with bricks at the moment, and the 2 bath room foun­da­tions begin­ning this com­ing week.

We must pause con­struc­tion for the week of July 8th to 13th in order to fill our barns with the final 110 tons of “super dry corn” for the rainy sea­son (Jan­u­ary to April).

We plan to build a 2nd bathing facil­i­ty next to the first, once corn buy­ing is over.  That will com­plete the com­plex so the paint­ing can begin!

Pastor’s report com­ing next week, as they must com­plete the final Sun­day in June before I have all their sal­va­tion num­bers. MANY com­ing to Christ, so our num­bers may sur­prise you!
