NATIONAL CHILDREN’S DAY PARTY !
OUR YOUNGEST JOIN IN THE FEAST. JUANITA ( FAR RIGHT), IS WALKING NOW.
THE KIDS LOVE THEIR PARTY HATS. HOW CUTE!
HAND WSHING A MUST BEFORE DIGGING IN FOR LUNCH.
Games, prizes, great food, and lots of laughs, was the scenario for the 150+ kids at our party on June 1st (National Children’s Day in Moz.)
The Sack races and Water “Carry” race (more spilling than carrying) were a big hit with our crowd!
MONICA, AGE FIVE, PRAISING JESUS IN SONG AND PRAYER.
The BBC Motorbike Team assisted Youth Leaders Bertino and Daude in the games set up and food serving. Always helps to have extra Youth Pastors around when it comes to managing a crowd that big!
Thank you to everyone who gave a bit extra so we could buy prizes for the games this year.
Giant “bubblegum suckers” were a big hit with the older children. (The younger ones received the smaller Yogurt Suckers.) As I passed a few homes after the party, every child had their sucker in their mouth, for it takes 1 HOUR to melt them down to the bubblegum center. That kept them busy as they enjoyed their long lasting treat.
RUN FOR THE CORN HAS BEGUN!
Our trucks rolled in this morning with the first loads of beautiful corn. Our “race” to get the corn in the barn as quickly as possible will continue through next weekend for sure. Needed is 3,033 sacks of corn for distribution to 2000+ orphans in 2 Districts (counties) between July and December.
That equals 182 TONS for those of you trying to figure it out. The balance of the corn (stored for the January to May rainy season), will be bought in July when it is “super dry”.
Due to a busy schedule right now, this Bunny must keep this short. We begin processing the corn for long term storage tomorrow, and I have to get the supplies ready.
When most count sheep to get to sleep tonight, our crew will be “stacking sacks” as we all hit the hay early, dreaming of the next day’s challenges.
Our alarms will roust us all out of bed BEFORE the rooster crows, as the trucks must roll out at 4a.m.
Keep us in your prayers for “supernatural strength, endurance, and an accident free program”.
Hugs to you all for keeping us covered!
BLESSINGS,
