| Bush Bunny Brenda Blog August 10, 2024 BABY GUDA (goo-da) JOINS OUR FAMILY On Thursday, August 8th, Social Services called with a request for us to receive a very malnourished orphan girl. Guda is 101 days old and weighs only 3 kgs/6.6 lbs. She should weigh at least 6 kgs/13.2 lbs. This tiny little girl was being cared for by the grandmother and a very concerned father. When the grandmother was questioned, it was clear that she didn’t have the mental ability to care for an infant. The father was very keen for us to save his daughter.We readily accepted little Guda, and placed her into the arms of Foster Mother Franquina, who dearly adores the tiny ones. Franquina is one of our best Foster Mothers, and we pray that little Guda will thrive under her care. She does have a sinus infection, but is taking her bottle well. We will get her started on the high protein Hypo cereal as soon as we are sure her little tummy is ready for food. |

| PLEASE PRAY FOR GUDA, AS SHE HAS HAD A SHAKY START. Her mother was very sick for the first 2 months of Guda’s life and passed away just after Guda was 60 days old. Illness unknown, as she refused to go to the hospital. IT IS FOR INFANTS SUCH AS THIS, THAT THE LORD SENT ME TO THIS AREA. Without the help that your Love Gifts provide, these infants would not have a chance at survival. THANK YOU for your loving kindness towards these children. |
LOADING AND UNLOADING WAS THIS WEEK’S MAJOR TASK Our Food Give Out Team over the last four days gave out: 275 sacks of CORN (16,500 TONS) 60 sacks of BEANS (3 TONS.) 25 CASES SOAP18 BAGS OF SALT (360KG/792LBS.) These food gifts served 411 orphans and the 303 widows who care for them. Keeping children healthy is our goal. |
